Domain Name Tools
Are you having trouble coming up with a domain name? Perhaps you think all of the good names are already taken? Or maybe you just want to keep track of expired or available domain names? If so, here are quite a few nice tools for you to look at.
- Bizmint
- These guys have a very nice interface to finding domain names. Unfortunately, it's a very expensive service (about $20 per month) and the site has been a little slow. The main feature is you get immediate and quick notification of domain names as they become available. The service seems to be primarily aimed at people who want to purchase domain names for their resale value.
- Domain Fellow
- This service allows you to enter a primary keyword, followed by up to ten additional keywords. A domain name is then constructed from those. This is perfect for finding a domain name which includes a keyword, which many people believes improves your search engine rankings.
- Domain Guru
- If you've got questions about domains, this web site is a great place to start. Lots of questions with thorough and useful answers.
- Domains Bot
- This web site has a very flexible domain name searching screen which asks more than a dozen questions. You can indicate exactly which kind of domain you want with lots of checkboxes and information.
- E-Gineer Domainator
- Very nice domain search capability. You enter keywords, then one or more of the following: unavailable, other, languages, trademarks, combinations, dictionary, rhyming and languages. I especially liked the rhyming option.
- Eyeondomain
- This site has lots of features to help you choose domain names as well as a large number of articles. Highly recommended.
- Homepagenames
- One of the nicest domain tools available. Flexible and fast.
- ICDomainNames
- A whole suite of nice tools to help you find domain names.
- Nameboy
- Enter two words, indicate whether you want the words to rhyme and whether hyphens are allowed. In a few seconds you will be presented with a list of names, and you can buy them or backorder them if they are already owned.
- Raining Names
- Enter a couple of words and in a few seconds you will get a list of similar domain names. Simple but fast and effective.
- Red Hot Domain Names
- This web site specializes in expired domain names. If you want a recently expired name, this is a great place to go.
- Snapnames
- This service allows you to subscribe and receive reports of domain names. Very useful.
- Snapitnow
- This company web site has a very nice domain name generation tool.
- Unclaimed Domains
- This web site allows you to get a list of unclaimed domain names each week, for a yearly subscription fee.
- WhoIX
- Very fast tool. Enter your keyword and get lots of suggestions.
